A Guide for International Students in Tolouemehr University

(Enrollment, Admissions, Consular Affairs)

We highly welcome international students to Tolouemehr University. To provide you with the necessary information about consular affairs, we draw your attention to important necessary information according to current regulations of the Students' Affairs Organization of the Immigration Police Department of Iran and the Consular Affairs Department of the university.

At the beginning of entering the university, every international student will be granted a student visa after the initial admissions (as a student who has a scholarship or pays the University for his/her studies) and then the student can get residence.

During the study period, the student's residence can be extended and if needed, he/she can leave Iran, return to Iran, or leave Iran without returning.

It is worth mentioning that according to the rules of the University of Tolouemehr, the ladies who decide to study at this university must regard full Islamic Hijab (Chador) while studying at the university.

Enrollment & Admissions process:

• Receiving the tracking number
• Issuing students with student visa
• Granting students with residence
• Extending residence for students
• Issuing   permission for exit without returning (final exit), for exit and return (exit re-entry), and for domestic and internal exit

Receiving the Tracking number:

All international students need a tracking code for their consular affairs and student visa. They should visit the website (old.saorg.ir:8081) to get the tracking code.

To receive the tracking code through the website, students must upload a scan of their own photo and the first page of their passport (or residence card), and the last academic degree and then fill in their personal information. After receiving tracking  code (Saorg code), to confirm the tracking code, the students must refer to the consular affairs department of the university. Afghan students must present a valid and new passport (due to the current conditions of Afghanistan, they must act according to the rules of the Student Affairs Organization at each stage). All non-Afghan students who have temporary residence must void their residence card and get a passport.

Necessary Documents for Enrolment in all Courses:

• Picture (3*4 cm size)
• Passport
• The certificate of graduation of former academic degrees (B.S, B.A, M.S, M.A) and their transcripts.

Key point: To receive the student ID number, the student must obtain permission from the International Students Affairs Organization at the Ministry of the Science, Research and Technology of Iran.

Necessary Documents to Issue Students Visa:

• The certificate letter for being student or being graduated from the university in which you are or you were studying.
• A copy of the first page of the passport and the scan of certificate letter of being student.
• A picture of the first page of the passport (a jpg picture with the resolution of 600 to 800 dpi)
• A scan of your photo (3×4 cm size)
• Filling in the application form and scanning it.

Necessary Documents for Issuing Study Residence:

The certificate letter for being a student or having graduated from the university in which you are or you were studying.

• A picture or copy of the last page of the passport for the student who has the tracking code
• A picture or copy of the first page of the passport (the copy or scan of the page being sealed for the extension of the visa must be provided).
• A picture or copy of the student visa (the visa must be a student visa)
• The copy of the last academic degree(s) of all educational stages
• Filling in the residence application form and taking a copy of it.

Necessary Documents for Applying for Residence Extension

• Passport
• Certificate letter of studying at university and the transcript.
• A copy of the first page of the passport and also a copy of the latest residence card.
• Paying the expenses of extending the residence visa credit card to the account of the Immigration Police Department.

Attention: The student should refer to consular affairs in the province in which they study at least 25 days before the expiration of their residence.

Students must pay attention to the expiration date beforehand to not be fined by the Immigration Police Department.
